Hey all!
I'm currently on the £16 BT home essentials no income package and have been enjoying this so far. My contract for this is ending at the end of August so I was wondering what happens then? Does it automatically renew again for another 12 months? I went online and asked BT guides but they said after 12 months it goes to a rolling monthly basis but then when I checked the BT website it says they'll move me to the latest home essentials package so I don't know and I'm confused. I asked them if there's anything I needed to do and they said no. I just want to remain on the same package with the same price . I'm still eligible for the same package as my income/benefits etc hasn't changed. Any ideas? Thanks!
if this is discounted social tariff the will see it your they will recheck if you are still eligable and just continue paying this is automatic the contract end date is meaningless as you can leave whenever you wish if you wanted to
is it this ? if so then the above will happen @Ryanm353
@shakey1981 Hi thanks for your reply. Yeah this is the package. It says on month 11 they'll send a email or letter about renewal but I've never gotten anything at all from them. I'm just worried they'll move me to a different package that isn't £16 per month and then I'll have to call them and blah blah blah. Lol.
if you are on the discounted social tariff they check automaticity with the info the gave to them when you signed up you do not need to do anything
they will only infotm you by email or letter if something has changed the arent allowed to just move you
"inform you we’ll run another eligibility check on your plan’s 12 month anniversary. If you are still eligible then we’ll notify you and inform you that we’ll renew your plan for another 12 months"
this is automatic
you get an email saying your contract has restarted
