Home move

I was wondering if someone can help I have been a BT customer for over 40 years with no complaints I recently moved house and when I informed BT they thought I was cancelling my contract and would have to pay £427 . I phoned them to explain that I did not want to cancel and was told it would be sorted but now my services are starting to close and I cannot check my direct debit to see if the money has gone out as I am with the TSB . Can anyone help.
