Infinity & TV install on the same day

Go to solution
Hi there,

This is my first post so hello to you all.

I was due to have Infinity 1 and UHD tv and line rental installed today.

My sky fiber stopped working this morning. The engineer turned up at 2 (time allocated between 12-3) he replaced my phone socket face plate and plugged in the home hub 5 which is stuck on the orange light. So no broadband yet as it could take up to 8 oclock tonight. So he couldn't continue with the tv install as he needed the broadband to set the box up.

He has arranged with his company(he was a contractor) to come back around this Saturday to set the tv up. (he said it was easier to organise this his company than going through bt)

I'm just wondering will I still be charged for these 5 days that I haven't had TV service? And will bt know he is coming back to install the tv?

Also he said the UHD box needed 44mbs for him to install it otherwise he wasn't allowed to but I only have infinity 1 with a max of 40mbs so is it still possible?

Looking forward to reply because I'm a bit lost with it all.

Thank you
