Infinity pricing.

I have been with BT for over 30 years now initially with phone and then broadband. I was told 3 YEARS ago that we would be connected to Infinity by Christmas 2014. Well 3 years later we are now connected. I have contacted BT on numerous occasions to ask for info and got none. I then contacted BT earlier this year and was told connection was iminent and they would mark me down as a priority customer and let me know as soon as I could order Infinity and that I was liable to be offered a priority price. This never happened and we just got a postcard through the letter box saying we could order. I  went online and saw that the Infinity price was £29.99 but when I confirmed the order it said £47.99. WHY ? Do loyal customers not get any benefit. I note that BT's competitors offer cheaper deals and this may be an option.

Rang the number and was offered a price more than the one advertised on BT website !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! £54.88 as oposed to £44. And that was from the specialist offers team.

Are you still under an existing fixed length contract with BT as if you are my experience is that you won't be offered anything worthwhile. That being said you could always try the customer options team at a different time and see if you are offered another offer. Have they possibly included an infinity upgrade fee perhaps?

The price will be for new customers. You are not a new customer. Move to a new provider and take up their offers.

Seriously thinking about changing providers. BT appear not to care about their existing long term customers. 30 years with BT but matbe not for much longer.

who of course are owned by BT...! If you do switch to them make sure you get any cashback available from either quidco or topcashback.

Didnt know BT owned Plusnet. How come there is a conflict in pricing then ?

EE are also owned by BT group.

There's not a conflict in pricing. You're a new customer to Plusnet.

They're a seperate business owned by BT group
