Installation safety in the current epidemic situation

Hi, I am due to get fibre broadband installed soon. I am wondering if this can be done without somebody entering the house. I have ow fibre already from virgin so I am just switching. Thank you.

Re: Installation safety in the current epidemic situation

@CrisTwicks

The Virgin network is totally different, so its no possible to simply switch over.

If you have ordered Superfast broadband from BT, that will be delivered over your BT phone line assuming you have a BT or Openreach socket in the house which is still connected.

You will receive a BT Home hub which you connect to your phone line, once you have dialling tone.

If you have ordered Ultrafast broadband delivered over a direct optical fibre into your house, then this will not be going ahead at the moment.

Re: Installation safety in the current epidemic situation

Thanks Keith, appreciate the reply. My package is Fibre 100 (is it fibre direct into the houses - I assume?).

I wasn;t contacted yet by BT to say it's not going ahead, did they announce that somewhere?

Cheers
