Re: Introducing BT Plus!

Really disappointed - I signed up for this last Saturday anticipating an increase in speed, and when the service was activated on Wednesday got the opposite effect down from 45Mbs 2 days prior to 39Mbs - only just above the minimum. This has not changed in the last four days..

Have spent the last 45 minutes with a very helpful customer services lady who assures me there is nothing wrong with the line and speeds and that as I'm getting over the minimum that there isn't anything that can be done. I'm now really wishing that I hadn't bothered. I know there are others in the same position.

Its like buying a 2 litre car only to then be told its only a 1.3..

Any resolution would be apprecaited..

@Andy005

No, I am not saying it is only a fiver difference I was responding to what plus offers and how it doesn’t work for everyone. If you take the whole post in context which I still stand by.

As for the price freeze nothing is certain in life  but a price freeze is a price free and whilst the terms may say that the price may change that’s a generic line that they put in everything. But you are entitled to look at it what ever way you wish.

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

My "personal offer" says I can have all this for only £3 a month more than I pay now.  But as I don't use mobile data and expect BT to fix my service if it goes wrong I'm not sure how all this adds up to saving me £216 a year.  No doubt, in the fulness of time I shal regret not taking up this marvellous offer.

Are you suggesting that BT Plus is only a fiver @Dean007? I haven't seen that anywhere myself.

Also if you scroll to the bottom of this https://www.productsandservices.bt.com/broadband/plus/bundles-ec/

it says "We may change any prices and terms during your contract. If this affects you, we'll tell you about important changes in advance, and you'll be able to end your contract without any fees."

That doesn't exactly sound like a price freeze to me.

@Andy005

@SeanD states in the initiating post on this thread that Broadband prices will be frozen, interestingly there is no mention of other service charges being frozen?

@hasey66

Are you testing over wifi or cable? Speed tests over wifi don't give an accurate indication

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

In that case it might be worthwhile checking out the cooling off period (assuming there is one)

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

That’s what I’m going to do. See if it increases and if it doesn’t then try and revert to old package...

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

Just wish there was some acknowledgement from BT that this has happened.

Re: Introducing BT Plus!

DLM will have been reset, give it a few days and G.Inp will kick back in and your speed will return.
