Keeping Email Address Following Bereavement

Hello,
Hoping for help following death of my father in law, a Bt broadband/phone account holder. Both he and my mother in law shared the same Bt email address. She would like to close the Bt account soon as she has put the house up for sale, but needs to keep the Bt email address which she uses for her savings accounts and to manage utility bills. How do I help her to do this, I have an lpa for her if needed.

Re: Keeping Email Address Following Bereavement

The email address will be automatically be reduced to Basic Mail which is only available via webmail.

If your mother in law wishes to access the email via a mail app or client, she will need to pay £7.50/m for Premium Mail

Re: Keeping Email Address Following Bereavement

Thank you for the reply, is this the case even though he was the account holder, closing the account through bereavement team will still give access to the email address through basic email? Thanks

@Poppy7

Are you a BT Broadband customer and do you have a BT email address? If you are she can transfer her BT email account to your BT Broadband account.
