Leave this garbage

Basically upgraded to the 900 fibre from the slow one I’m on now on the 22 march, was offered a low price of 32.99 as I had already enquired with a new supplier and was apparently a “long term valued customer”

Was told  the install would happen on the 7th April so I booked the day off, got a text yesterday saying my order was cancelled, logged into my account and it said I had cancelled my order. Rang bt and told them I didn’t cancel, they said it was an error and open reach had cancelled it, but anew order had been rebooked for 16th April, checked today and that order has been deleted, rang them again and they were less than useless at explaining what had happened, they told me i would have to replace my order and start again waiting for the install, soonest date 30th April… frustratingly I agreed but wait not only that the price is as now 42.99 as that deal had expired. Told them to stick it in leaving, still in a contract so I owe them £89 quid, I said fine the new supplier will cover up to £100. I signed up with the new supplier and I get a text yesterday saying”your still in a contract and owe £100.99 as an exit fee, so it mysteriously changed from £89 to just above the amount the new supplier would cover. Coincidence?? I think not. Avoid this company at all costs absolute jokers

Re: Leave this garbage

You'll have been given an estimate for cancelling in 30 days time but be doing it sooner hence the difference so not jokers

Re: Leave this garbage

What about my cancellation for no reason? Then blaming open reach on the second call?

what about saying I cancelled when I hadn’t?

what about saying only yesterday that my order was reinstated yet today it’s cancelled again?

what about then offering a new installation date if I start all over after admitting the mistake but then saying it’s back to full price? When apparently I’m a valued customer

work for Bt do ya?

Re: Leave this garbage

Orders can be cancelled for many reasons most of which are in the control of Openreach especially if you are going onto full fibre, prices can also change.  Cancellation charges are always done by computer, thats just how it works.

If you don't like the answers given by BT then put a complaint in, it's not helpful to ask questions on a public forum to which we wouldn't have answers - and I am just a customer like you.
