What are the first three letters of the sales refernce (NOT the VOL number)?

Look for the sales reference on this page, top right.
It may also be on the email you received from BT, confirming your order.

No, that is not the right one. It will begin with AJM or BTC, which is why you are having problems. You need to look again, it has to be there somewhere.
Its may be referred to as the sales reference.
These references are only issued on orders that have successfully tracked back to the referring site, in your case its probably Uswitch. I assume you placed your order via the Uswitch website?
