Re: MAX HD £4 increase

Can you please explain how it's a ransom letter, i'd be intrigued to know how you're being held completely to ransom with no other options as it seems your out of contract as well

Re: MAX HD £4 increase

I'm not defending BT in any way just pointing out how much of an overraction it is to say a letter is ransom

Re: MAX HD £4 increase

@londonman same here. Have had the Max/4k package for some years now first at £17 pm( discounted) then £18 pm (discounted) and now £25 as out of contract. My £4 letter increase came today. It still seems better value than other packages on offer and gives UHD channel Eurosport and some UKTV channels. BT sport plus NowTv entertainment does not have Eurosport or UHD as I believe this is only included with VIP package and costs about the same. Think like others on this forum  I will keep Max4k for as long as I can.

Re: MAX HD £4 increase

david,   being better value still doesn't justify these price increases for existing customers

you seems somewhat grateful to BT ?

Re: MAX HD £4 increase

@londonman no not at all. We are both out of contract so must decide what is best to do, at present I am happy with what I am getting although would prefer it to cost less. As others have said on this forum it's a matter of choice with what suits us, but I am not defending BT.

Re: MAX HD £4 increase

I thought that BT announced price increases of 4.5%, (inflation @ 0.6% + 3.9%)?

According to my calculator, 4.5% of £25 is £1.13,

Re: MAX HD £4 increase

We are currently paying £29 per month  for Max hd but with losing channels and price increases, we have decided to cancel . Our new set up is

now tv entertainment pass costing £25 for 5 months

now tv cinema pass  £15 for 2 months

now tv sports special offer £25

all of which can be cancelled at anytime, not tied to a 24month contract.

Discovery +  £29.99 for 1 year which covers a lot of the channels we used to watch on BT.
