I was in the process of signing up for Fibre (Infinity 1) and some TV package.
Ideally, I'd have liked to have signed up for Max (inc. UHD) but the line to my new address has a low estimate for the minimum speed (35Mb, via http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/) but from reading the forums, I believe a minimum estimate of 44Mb is required for UHD support.
So my next option was to try Entertainment + BT Sport + HD...
If I make up this package online, which I believe is the same as Max (minus UHD), the monthly payment is £48.49 vs £46.99 for Max, not to mention the lack of the 1TB YouView 4K box!!
Am I missing something here?
Can I get the Max subscription without UHD or not?
I spoke with an agent online this afternoon and they confirmed that it would work out more expensive to have the equivalent of Max minus the UHD channel and 1TB YouView box.
In addition, they confirmed that should my line be able to handle UHD in the future, as existing customer, I would then be charged an extra £4+ if I then wanted the UHD channel and 1TB YouView box at that time.
