Migrate BT to EE

seen as BT and EE are merging we've had our mobile contract forcably switched with a few options gone and now our broadband is going too. Now we get 138Mbps with BT but EE is only offering 80Mbps thats 58Mbps less and we pay £62.57 with BT but EE want £65.57 now that's £3 more for a 58Mbps reduction, so here's my question. When we're forced to move will this be the speed and price we will get?

I would read the Ofcom website rules and regulations regarding contracts and prices. It seems its the practice to raise prices but suppliers must offer their best deals which could result in lower prices. Negotiate a cheaper deal which you are happy with.

You don’t have to switch , currently there is no compulsion to switch from BT to EE  , you can continue as you are , albeit presumably on an out of contract and therefore uncompetitive price…you are almost certainly on Gfast at present ( that how you are getting 138Mb ) but that is now pretty much unavailable for sale any  from anyone , including BT let alone EE , that’s why if you switch you can only have FTTC .

EE 80Mb FTTC , is £30 a month , I don’t know where you got your figure from , if it were some automatically generated ‘offer’ , a call to them  will no doubt get the correct amount quoted , that’s  the broadband price , you may have other things you pay for as well as broadband.
