Hard to know where to put this post!
We have a broadband and have had for years
Many years ago before my O.H. even used a computer, when we signed up to BT, his name was the account holder but to receive on-line bills etc my e-mail address was used, so I set up my own BT ID , password etc.
Eventually he acquired a mobile phone and has used BT for usage of this and billed on the whole account.
He used BT app to check his usage etc, all fine. Somehow he got locked out of his mobile account, couldn't answer security question re colour! Somehow still managed to use phone etc. don't think can remember how that happened.
He has just downloaded the new BT app, but hasn't got a BT ID, tried mine but of course doesn't work.
Thought the obvious fix was to add him as an account manager, but rang BT to check. Then realised we'd completely forgotten that he was actually the account holder.
Very helpful agent, told me to change my password for BT website, which made sense as I'd changed it lots and couldn't remember the correct one. she then said he'd be able to use that ID and password (mine) on his mobile.
Unfortunately not , as the app is asking for his BT ID
This took about 20 mins in all but unfortunately still going nowhere.
Brain is fried! I really don't want to ring up again and explain all over again.
