I’ve been a BT Basic customer for some years at my current address, but I am currently in the process of moving house. I would need to take my BT Basic landline with me to my new address.
I have been in my new (to me) house and plugged a phone in to the socket, but there is no dial tone. I am very worried as I have been reading up and noticed there is a £140 fee to activate my landline. Does this fee apply to BT Basic customers?
Hi @weemax Have you called and spoken with the Home movers department if not then it would be best to give them a call. They will be able to check if there is this would be a new provide of service to the address or a takeover of a line. If there is a connection charge they will be able to confirm this during the order journey.
