I recently (7th May) switched away from BT. I had an email (15th April) telling me "As you're still within the minimum term of your contract, you'll have to pay a charge for each month you've got left. We expect this to be £4.50 by the time you move". Yet I have had a bill for £88.81 for the period AFTER I have switch away from BT. I have spoken with a few customer folk on your phone line, one gave me a £20 discount but none could actually fix this.
How can I get my account closed and my money back?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Have you tried calling the number supplied in the email. If so what did they say the extra charge etc was for.
I spoke with someone who I think understood what my issue was. I was then passed onto billing, but then was cut off. Twice. So now trying these forums to see if BT will answer. But I'll try again today on the phone, although it's not a great time to be calling.
After the 3rd phone call someone in billing agreed with me and even wrote off the 4.50. Thanks BT.
