Owed over £100 for year. Still not got it.

To keep the long story extremely short, i ended my contract around march 2016 as i am a student and moved house.. i was owed money as my account was in surplus but was told a cheque would have to be sent to me because my direct debit has now been cancelled. Around 100 calls and 50 lies (by BT staff) later i have still not receieved my money and i am incurring charges as for a lot of students, every pound counts.

I have taken to the forums because after a year of ringing up and being told my cheque doesnt exist wjen i have a transcript from a bt agent telling me it does exist is a joke.

Never met such a thieving, lying, decietful company in my entire life. Please do yourself a favour and SAVE yourself HOURS of headache because they do not CARE about your situation.

Can a moderator please get hands on so i can get my money, file my complaint and then leave BT as fast as i can; or is there a place in the UK where i can just turn up - like headquarters?

Thanks

I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.
They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.

Hi @105,

@JohnC2 is out of the office at the moment but @RobbieMac will be getting in touch with you tomorrow.

Don't worry, our contacts are very good at finding out what happened to old cheques.

Thanks

Re: Owed over £100 for year. Still not got it.

i have received my bank statement and sent n email but i believe that mailbox is not monitored. i have the statements for the whole of june 2016. i cannot believe it is only now you re telling me that somebody cashed it in. a colleague gave me the bank details and i confirmed they are not mine.

please end this disastrous service. i would like my £108 cheque PLUS an additional settlement as i have incurred over 100 in charges and i have the statements to prove. a year is far too long to give somebody their rightful money back.

i will be patiently waiting for a call - you have my number.

otherwise the last stop is the Ombudsman.

105.
