Package confusion

I am due to renew my contract so I have used the Upgrade Package system on BTs site to find the best deal and it says Halo 3+ or Halo 3. My current package is Halo 1 automatically change from infinity 1.

I have looked in to Halo 3 on its dedicated page and it says not avaliable in my area.

I then had a look fiber packages and it offering me Fiber 1 at an average speed of 38 down - 9 up  and garranteed 25Mb but Halo 3 says 48 down - 10 up and garranteed 40down

My current VDSL modem says my line can hit a max of 55 down 12 up.

Just kinda confused it says I can get it but on the dedicated page not avaliable in my area.

I also don't wana take a hit on my network speed by going to Fiber 1

Re: Package confusion

Halo 3 is the same as Halo 1, the only difference being you get free home tech experts included now, Halo 1 you don't.
If the Halo 3 offer is decent then go for it, same speed as you get the 80/20 SLT with Halo, Fibre 1 would be the 55/10 SLT so slower upload and download depending on your line supported speeds.

Re: Package confusion

From your stats your line does not  support faster than fibre 1 55/10 so no point in halo 3

Re: Package confusion

@imjollyThanks for the info. But both Fiber 1 and Halo 3 show different Avg Speeds and Guarantee.
I am going to ring them up in the week sometime, since I also have Free BT Sport from when I re contracted last year.

This is what is says for Fiber 1 at my address                                                      This is my Upgrade Contract page.

Re: Package confusion

you router stats already show you can get just about the fibre 1 max 55/10mb and whichever package you select you should get that speed
