I have tried to log in to our BT account to view our bill etc but I am now unable to do so. A box appears to tell me the password has expired. Is it usual for this to happen after a number of years ? I have tried to log in on 2 devices.

I just wanted to ask the community if this is a normal thing to happen when nothing has been altered to the account details.
I appreciate that, I didn't answer the question simply because I don't know, some sites do delete the account after a certain period of inactivity but I couldn't tell you if BT is one of them
My parents also got this today at logon, although I can logon fine without being prompted for a new one. Any reason for BT suddenly asking for a password change?
Personally, I do not know why this has happened.
Hence my question to the community.
I reset our login details and all seems ok at the mo.
