Poor service for a new customer

I recently placed an order for BT top package (phone, broadband, TV etc) as I'm just about to move into my new home.
I can't wait to watch football in Ultra HD!!

Few days later I got my confermation email.

It said that I'll be setup on the 25th April 2016.

WTF!!

70+ DAYS WITHOUT INTERNET AND A PHONE!!! IS THIS A LAUGH!!!

As I work from home on the odd days I need Broadband.

I prceeded to call BT and got through to someone (eventually) and was told that I'll get a call within a day with a new date as they can move this forward for me. Nice!

But....

That was rubbish!

I called BT and spoke to a lady who looked at my order and said that I was going to get a call. However I told her that I'm calling because I didn't get a call. This confused her so she put me on hold for 2 minites.

I'm now thinking that do they even need my money? and do they even care?

The lady came back to me and was told that I was getting a call to move the date forward today, finally!!!

But......

I got a text stating that I would get a call within 5 minuites of the text.

few hours later... nothing..

I don't know what is going on and why I should wait so long for the service.

I feel as i'm getting the run-around and if thats the case I sould cancel and go to Sky or some one else.

Is this normal?

Should I cancel and go to another provider?

I hope I can get some answers here.

Thanks for reading my rant-of-a-post.

Re: Poor service for a new customer

Hi @RanvS,

Welcome to the community forum. I am sorry to hear that your order has been delayed. I would like to take a look at what is happening with your order as it shouldn't take 70 days to complete. Please can you send me in your details using the "Contact The Mods" link found in my profile?

Thanks

Re: Poor service for a new customer

Well I just got a call from BT call centre India.
All the lady said was confirming my 25th April activation date.

Omfg!

I asked her the point of my call back was to see if I could get connected early as 2 months is a joke.
All she said was "sir actually you have standerd service and this is 25th April".
When I asked for a better service the better service was 25th April.
Jokes!!

Probably gonna give Zen.Co.Uk or Sky a call and see what they say.

*Stressed*

Re: Poor service for a new customer

Have you taken up PaddyB's offer of help as the mod team will own the problem until fully resolved and provide a single point of contact in the UK

Can you run this checker and post back a screen shot of the results. Make sure you delete your phone number before posting.
