Price increase email received 3rd Jan 2020 - scam?

Go to solution

Hello.

This evening I've received an email looking as if from BT that says prices are increasing from today and I need to log into my account and view the changes to accept or service will be suspended.

I assume it's a scam as logging directly into BT (not from the email links) there is no mention of the price increase or a need to do this.

The email has come from... BTcomms <update61592768@updateinfor.com>

The link it directs you to is a bit like this...  https://btXXXXXXX.newupdate58.com

XXXXXX's inserted to prevent link clicking through.

Any thoughts?

It's a scam. Delete it.

Please remove the link from your post.
