I would give their Loyalty Team (0800 587 7216) a call and explain the situation that the prices are expensive and you didn't get the price increase information.

Don't just accept the first offer, you can always come back to it and I always make 2 or 3 calls to get a feel for the best deal.

I got my line rental and broadband down to £21.99 in the end, took a couple of calls but worth it. A colleague got a similar deal on his account.
