Query re telephone line

I'm a new customer to BT but my order had a 'cease order' which I didn't know anything about until I received an email the day of activation.

The cease order has been stopped but I am without a working telephone line; digital or landline.

How long does it usually take for the order team to contact you if they have said they are going to contact you on a particular day and don't?!

We need a working telephone line. At this point in time I don't care if it is a new number we are given, if we could just have a working telephone line.

I live with my elderly mother (93yo) and she relies on the telephone to keep in touch with family and friends as she does not use a mobile telephone.

Re: Query re telephone line

Ring up and quote your original order number, if it can't be recovered then it will be replaced.
A stopped line is quicker to activate than a working line takeover, it will depend on what service you order and the lead time for any required engineer is applicable, you'll be given this info when you get in touch.
