Re: upgrade broadband

Go to solution

Hi was tempted to use the current offer of increasing my broadband speed from 300 to 500 at an extra £2 a month.  Right at the end of the ordering process I noticed a statement offering 6 months free upgrade for something to di with X-Box Ultimate (whatever that is).  On the 7th month I would be charged £10 extra a month.  I find this most confusing and I don't want to get into a hassle with BT on month 7.  Is there an option not to take up this Xbox thingy. I cancelled the order.

Hi @G8ZIG, welcome to the forum, and thanks for posting. I've moved your post to create a new thread as the previous thread was already solved.

The Xbox offer does not have to be used. You won't get the offer if you choose not to activate it which is done via the Xbox website.

Cheers

John

Thanks.

I have just placed the order.

This message was then sent to me

"Hello,

Great news. Your broadband package has Game Pass Ultimate 6 months included at no extra cost.

Once your new package is activated, we'll send you an email telling you how to claim your pass."

So when it comes I will just
ignore it. I hope I can do that?

You can ignore it as you have to activate the gamepass if you want to use it.
