Redundant account numbers

I have been with BT several times over the years and recently joined them again. After logging in there are four account numbers shown on the page. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of the three I will never use again. I have phoned BT and was told they cannot be removed, surely this is not the case. Thanks

Records will need to be maintained, historical billing etc
You could change your email address linked to the BTID, that's what connects them all.
