Settling a Defaulted Closed Account

Just hoping someone can help. 

I have a defaulted account that has been closed. This has been paid and settled but I doesn’t show as settled and Experian are unable to remove this from my account which is having a negative impact on my credit score.

Who do I need to contact to resolve this and have this default removed from my credit report?

 

I hope someone can help.

Who did you pay the debt to ? If BT sold it to a debt recovery company and you paid then, it's the debt recovery company who would need to mark the debt as satisfied.
