We are moving house but will be moving in with family for a month or two.
We currently have a BT landline and Fibre with BT Halo 1 and use the BT Cloud space.
We obviously don't want to pay for services that we aren't consuming such as the landline and broadband but would like to continue with the BT Cloud space although that could be moved to a hard drive if a problem. We fully intend to continue with BT once we move into a new house.
Can anyone advise what our options are and what flexibility there is please?
Is there really no advice on this?
Your only option is going to be to cancel your contract, and move your files off the cloud.
There is no option to suspend service, only to move it to another property as part of a home move.
Thanks Keith, do you know whether there is an option to reduce services to an absolute minimum? We could cancel the landline, maybe reduce the BB to a minimum?
As the line rental is included in the broadband cost, and the line is needed for broadband, you cannot cancel it without cancelling the whole service.
The only things you can cancel would be any calls package, and any other services like BT TV, if you are out of contract.
How long have you got left on your current contract, as it may be simpler to cancel the lot, giving 30 days notice.
Ummm, I'll check on the contract, can't recall.
Presumably we would lose the email too, or do I recall that you can pay a small sum and continue to use it, but cancel everything else?
