Unable to verify account, or log into BT.

Hello

I am a new customer, I signed up and purchased a broadband package yesterday. After sign up the emails I got said to verify my account, so I click the link, I get a green box saying that my email is verified but if I go to log in to BT i'm greeted with a screen that says "Verify your identity" and "Your email is not yet verified". So I request a new verification email, I click the link in that email, it says i've now verified my email, then I go to login and again "Your email is not yet verified". 

I have to say this is not a good start. I can't login, I've done this verification process multiple times. 

I've tried this in Chrome, Firefox, Edge. I've tried this on my phone. I've tried clearing caches, deleting history etc. This is not a "me" problem. It's a "you" problem. 

I would very much appreciate some assistance to get this working, otherwise i'm going to be cancelling the broadband order. I've had this exact same issue with EE but that's another matter. 

 

Please assist.

This is a BT residential customer to customer forum. Your post does not go to BT. The only BT staff are the forum moderators who do not necessarily read all the posts.

Have you tried calling the BT Customer Service 0330.1234.150 who should be able to assist.

I have.  I spent yesterday 45 mins on the phone with them. Today another 30 minutes + 1 hr on twitter..

twitter support said they'd fixed it, but in reality they fixed nothing. 

I've cancelled now, please disregard. Not doing business with BT when they can't make their own logins work and blame me despite me telling them i've tried my phone / laptop and multiple browsers. 

 

Admins, can you delete or close my post please? I've now cancelled my broadband order.
