Upgraded BB now billed monthly for phone when I paid in advance!

This morning I upgraded from a 10Gb cap to unlimited, I paid in advance a lump sum for my phone rental last may, I have just received an email outlining my charges and it shows Broadband at £16.00 per month plus phone at £15.45 per month?

 

Is this just the way BT display things or are they going to charge me monthly for something I have already paid for?

 

Sorry for asking here but I don't know where to contact BT.

It's just the way they do it. When you get the bill it should show a credit for the line rental. If not take it up with Billing Live Chat.

I just do not understand the billing, below is what they show on the email!

 

Can anyone explain this to me? I am supposed to be paying £16 per month for BB and I paid in advance for 12months line rental last may!

 

 

After your free three months, all you need to do is pay £30.45 a month (£15 plus £15.45 line rental). This will be £31.95 a month from 4 January 2014 (£15.96 plus £15.99 Line rental).

After 12 months, this plan stays at £23.45 a month (£8 plus £15.45 line rental). This will be £24.50 a month from 4 January 2014 (£8.51 plus £15.99 Line rental).

After 18 months, this plan stays at £23.45 a month (£8 plus £15.45 line rental). This will be £24.50 a month from 4 January 2014 (£8.51 plus £15.99 Line rental).

After your free three months, all you need to do is pay £23.45 a month (£8 plus £15.45 line rental). This will be £24.50 a month from 4 January 2014 (£8.51 plus £15.99 Line rental).

For this, all you need to do is pay £18.75 a month (£3.30 plus £15.45 line rental) for 18 months. This will be £19.49 a month from 4 January 2014 (£3.50 plus £15.99 Line rental). After your free three months, all you need to do is pay £20.60 (£5.15 plus £15.45 line rental) a month. This will be £21.47 a month from 4 January 2014 (£5.48 plus £15.99 Line rental). After your free 12 months, all you need to do is pay £20.60 (£5.15 plus £15.45 line rental) a month. This will be £21.47 a month from 4 January 2014 (£5.48 plus £15.99 Line rental). For this, all you need to do is pay £20.60 (£5.15 plus £15.45 line rental) a month for 12 months. This will be £21.47 a month from 4 January 2014 (£5.48 plus £15.99 Line rental). For this, all you need to do is pay your £15.45 line rental for the first month (£15.99 from 4 January 2014), and then £20.60 a month (£5.15 plus £15.45 line rental) for 11 months. This will be £21.47 a month from 4 January 2014 (£5.48 plus £15.99 Line rental). For this, all you need to do is pay your £15.45 monthly line rental (£15.99 from 4 January 2014) for three months, and then £20.60 a month (£5.15 plus £15.45 line rental) for nine months. This will be £21.47 a month from 4 January 2014 (£5.48 plus £15.99 Line rental).

Having paid your line rental upfront by Line Rental Saver, each monthly bill will display the full cost of your package, including the full charge for monthly line rental, but there will be a credit for the full monthly line rental.

What a lot of gobbledegook. ec is probably right - just keep an eye on the bottom line of your bills and make sure the total is what you thought it should be. If it's not please post the details.

A question.

Do some of the experts that post on here have ways of sorting issues out with directly BT? It would be great if that is so as I just do not have much success when phoning BT, in fact as with many help lines I dread having to call them as it often ends in a very frustrating experience and I get nowhere!

 

When one asks questions on this board at least people understand what the problems are, thankfully. 🙂

Thanks again, yes I realised that as with most forums it is as you say however the reason I asked was that in a previous query I posted I was asked to supply details and I was dubious of doing so in case of giving a 3rd party's details to someone who was not connected with BT.

 

So basically if a Moderator asks for details it's quite safe to do so. 🙂
