I upgraded my BT account a few weeks ago and tried to active my Xbox gamepass ultimate via the content partner page but got the following error.
I reasoned it might be because I'd not received the official joining email yet, and should wait until my first payment was taken.
Today I got the join Xbox game pass ultimate email so thought, hey it must be fixed! But nope, still getting the error!
Has the registration really been down for maintenance for weeks? Or have a fault on my account in some way?

If you have received an email to join and you are still seeing this error I would say it's best to get your account checked.

Thought I'd update this topic so people know what happened.
Went on the BT chat section as linked by Katie_B. Had what seemed like a good conversation, BT person said I'd get an email soon after and to follow the link in that email.
That was 1 week ago, the email never came! Now I'm going through the whole process again!
One thing I've learned over the years with BT is you never get good service on the first contact, its always when you contact to complain that stuff gets done!
Another 7 day wait with the Xbox activation team. 🤦♂️
