email from BT "We’ve had a problem processing your BT Sport credit."

I completed the on line form on myBT. platform for sports credit.  From the confirmation message on the screen it appeared to go through OK.

Yesterday lunchtime, I received an email from BT asking me to verify my account number via bt.com/sportsupport or by calling  0800 678 1959.

the e-address doesn't look right and I cant trace the phone number to BT?

Is this a real email?
