how to change from account manager to account holder - help

I think this issue is stopping me for watching BT sport on the app even though I have an active BT Sports package and an active BTID.  Can anyone assist. I can't seem to access Live Chat either to ask for help.

  1. Log in to My BT >
  2. Click on Settings and Your account
  3. Scroll down and you'll see if you're an Account holder or Account manager
  4. Click on the I should be the Account holder link and follow the steps

tried again and got this message

Sorry, only the Primary BT ID for this account can access this BT Extra. Another BT ID which belongs to another user is the Primary BT ID for this account.

If you would like to make this BT ID your Primary BT ID, please call us on 0800 111 456.

 

is the only way to fix this by calling? I'd rather do it any other way
