Hi all,
Just shopping around for prices when I came across "Broadband only" services. Nothing new I thought because I generally assumed it meant you could purchase the broadband service without starting or moving an existing telephone line rental. Some years ago some ISP's allowed broadband and line rental mixtures so to speak. is that not possible now?
.
So If I purchase broadband only from bt, do I not need to rent the phone line and just pay the one package broadband deal?

You are confusing line rental and telephony capability.
You cannot have broadband without a physical line, but you can have it without telephony
Line rental is included in all broadband packages, but you don't have to take a telephony option as well if you don't wish to. The saving is minimal, no more than £5/m
The broadbband only deal includes the copper line (or fibre line ) You just don't have a phone service.
