Access Control

Go to solution

I have Smart Hub 2, firmware versin 17.01.  I want to enable Access Control and after entering the admin password on the hub manager (192.168.1.254) and clicking on Access Control it tells me that this is now handled in the MyBT app.

I tried to find a Windows app but no such luck.

So i have installed the MyBt App on my iPhone and find nothing in the App that looks remotely like Access Control. It is more for billing, and admin than for technical tinkering.

I must be doing somethign wrong.  Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Re: Access Control

Hi @spellhj,

Welcome to the Community and thank you for posting.

You'll find access controls for your Smart Hub 2 in the My BT app. They're now called Wi-Fi controls.

  1. From the app, click More then select Your wi-fi network
  2. Select Control wi-fi access for your devices to manage your screen time online.

Please give that a try and let me know how you get on?

Thanks

Re: Access Control

OK thanks.  I did look at that option and was discouraged by the initial display... "Set up your hub" or something like that, as it has been up and running for several months.  The initial screen should in my view instead say "Enter admin password" as that is all it needs.

All the same, Job done!!!!

10/10, Have a gold star and 3 House points
