Any negatives to using hotspots ?

If someone in my family goes on holiday and uses a BT hotspot for a week at a hotel with their laptop, thanks to the inclusive free usage with BT broadband, does this means I can still use the BT broadband connection at home ok ? Or can you only use one of the other at the same time ? Also is the BT hotspot truly unlimited or should they watch their usage amount ?

Thanks.

Re: Any negatives to using hotspots ?

It does not affect your home connection at all.

See fair usage policy here.

Re: Any negatives to using hotspots ?

There is a 10,000 minute monthly usage fair use policy. If they exceed that you have to reconnect every half hour as against the normal re-connection time of two hours but you can continue to use it.  In reality I doubt they will exceed that.

EDIT: Just noticed that Keith posted a link to the above.
