BT Cloud exe using all available memory

I've noticed recently that BT Cloud.exe is using all available memory to the point where the PC becomes unusable. I have 16GB of RAM and it usually ends up using over 14GB.

Any idea why this might be and is there a fix?

Thanks, Pete

Re: BT Cloud exe using all available memory

A couple of possibilities.

If you're still using the F-Secure BT Cloud software (2016 or thereabouts) then upgrade to the latest version thro MyBT.

You may be having disk read errors, try running Scandisk or if you're on Windows 10 goto    Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Security and Maintenance and check your disk health.

Re: BT Cloud exe using all available memory

Thanks for the response. I was using the latest version according to "Check for Update" so that wasn't it.

This morning there was an upgrade and it still looks like it has a memory leak. Watching memory usage it's increasing by 2-3MB per second with CPU around 15% constantly. Process Explorer gives a nice graph too.

I've read about potential issues with Windows Defender and other AV software but that's all disabled too.

I'll try checking the disk but haven't had issues with any other applications...
