I know I have 2 accounts as I can see them on the same dashboard with the one btid to log in .

Try creating a BTID for your broadband account.

You don’t need 2 bt ids you only need 1 and you can just add the bt broadband account to your existing bt Id.  Just log into your account and under settings you can add the new account.   The account you had to retain your email address should close once your email address is linked to your new  broadband account.  Once the broadband is added to bt id you should be able to set up cloud

The bt broadband account is under the same bt id , I see no option to merge the two , I need the broadband account to be the holder of the bigger account ? How do I swap the accounts so the broadband is the holder with the permissions ?

phoned up , they can merge the accounts and give me a good refund as well as they continued to take payment for my premium email after a broadband account was st up ! Happy ! Fault at BT end then , again .
