I know this happens when the VPN client doesn't successfully detect that you are indeed on a BTopenzone or FON connection, but seeing as you are it does seem a bit odd.

Have you had this working before? Might be a firewall issue. Or maybe try another Hotspot if you can?

No this is the first time that i have tried the VPN client after downloading it from your links that you provided on another post. Smiley Happy

The bt openzone hotspot is the one at home so i will try another hotspot if possible.

I did read somewhere on here that another user connected fine, just got to find the post.

Just tried mine again on both FON and Oz, seems to work for me.

Do you have a firewall running? what router are you using?

The firewall is the standard Windows XP one, the router is a HH3

Are my instructions above correct, did you do anything different?

Yep, you have done it in the right sequence. Are you using the 32 bit version?

The VPN client will connect and secure the connection almost instantly when it works, the only time I have experienced the time out error is when I try to use it in my own SSID.

Ah now I see!

I missed the fact you hadn't logged into the landing page (FON or Oz), yes that is how you connect otherwise it is treated as your not connected to the t'internet Smiley Happy
