BT Parental Controls - Not installed, still blocking

So I've been browsing the web this evening when suddenly I have a site that is being blocked by BT Parental controls. The surprise being I've never installed these, configured these or done anything with them at all.

In fact the site I was attempting to visit was fine earlier today.

So I log into "My BT" and find these are still totoally deactivated, not installed, yet they are still blocking me.

So I try activating them, disabling them and then totally removing them - my account shows them as requiring activation to use them - I had various warnings about how I would not be protected.

However - I still have sites blocked as apparently the Account Holder has Lite filters on - I do not.

Anybody ever seen this before? Any ideas?

Am I going to have to wait until tomorrow and shout at BT?

Re: BT Parental Controls - Not installed, still blocking

Restart the home hub first.

Then if you have a Windows computer, enter the following command at the command prompt.

ipconfig  \flushdns.

That should remove any incorrect old DNS entries.
