BT Support can see connected devices

Just off a call with BT Tech Support about poor connectivity in the house, and the agent read through every device I had connected to my network as I named it in the BT App. 

Not that we have anything dodge connected but from a privacy aspect, can you block/opt out of that?

Only by getting a third party router. As the hub is owned by BT they have access to it.
