Re: BT TV App

@waspsfan2 sorry about the delay replying, do you have a second box subscription?

Re: BT TV App

Unless there's a particular reason you want to use the BT TV app there are alternatives.

There's the Youview app and the TalkTalk TV Planner app that will both happily talk to any Youview box allowing  a device (say an iPhone) to set recordings etc for multiple units. That's exactly what I do.

Re: BT TV App

Hi @waspsfan2 I've made enquires with the app team to see if this is possible and as soon as I hear back I'll post here.

Re: BT TV App

@waspsfan2 I've had word back that the app can only be paired to 1 box at a time, but there's no restriction on unpairing and then re-pairing with the other box.

The two boxes should be visible from the app and if you can't see both of them please can you check the following

  1. Make sure your second box is one that can record (i.e. not a zapper box)
  2. Try scrolling down in the app – if it’s a small screen on the phone then the second box may not be visible.
  3. Reboot the box and try again
  4. If it's connected with powerline adapters, reboot these too and try again
  5. If it still fails, also reboot the hub and try again
  6. As a last resort, try a box reset (keep recordings should be good enough).

Re: BT TV App

Hi Neil...thanks for this. I tried 1 to 5 but not 6 as it seems i would loose my recordings. I even moved the boxes to each others location....and the same box was found at the new location but not the second. Could the issue be something at the BT account end?...eg may they have my second box incorrectly clasified as a non recorder?
