BT TV app and registered devices

so... I'm trying to use the BT TV app to watch catch-up tv but I keep getting an error code of TVE_P933 which I believe is symptomatic of having more than two devices registered. But I don't. I have one. And it's the one I'm using. I only have two devices, an iPad (the device in question) and an iPhone and I've never had the app on the latter. I know BT have the woeful rule of only letting you change devices once a month but does that count if you sign out & in again too?

Sorry you're having this problem with the registered devices.  Have you tried the steps here? - Managing and changing your devices for the BT TV app and online player
