BT Virus Protect ¦ Norton

I'm interested in the change of BT Virus Protect to NORTON, for my laptop.
But, which NORTON product do you get ?
UI screen-shots would be helpful.

While waiting for a reply to my header post. I've read all the current batch of BT Virus Protect Norton posts.

I've been through all the McAfee - Norton posts. It's a shambles.
Installation in each category should come with a clear, simple, comprehensive, flow chart; containing pictorial graphics of the pages being navigated, and a generic style of submission for each entry. You have to pitch the instructions at the level of least technical customer. It's blatantly obvious that customers aren't finding the instructions user-friendly.

Come on BT, get a grip !

With all due respect, norton anti-virus is a 3rd party product

BT Retail only offer access to the 3rd party software, you choose whether to utilise the software or not, If you fail to understand the instructions, your query should be to the manufacturers (Norton) not bt.

Any ISP cannot be expected to read, modify or alter any 3rd party company's instructions or literature

C'mon ! Everything comes with a comprehensive set of instructions, these days.
You don't expect to buy a kettle: not to be told to put water in it, because the water is provided by a 3rd party.
I can just about remember when attention to detail was called Customer Service

I can just about remember when attention to detail was called Customer Service ?  You know perfectly well that it has nothing to do with BT Retail, your just been cantankerous, why should BT or any other ISP offer advice on any 3rd party's equipment, they are not privvy to the workings or programming structure.

Your complaint needs directing to the manufacturer

Just wondered, with which specific Norton products BT was partnering.
There's a wealth of BT Forum activity, on Norton products that BT don't control.
Hooray for the common sense that permeates the BT Forums.

Looks like the age old.

Try signing up to Norton 360 premium!

You can opt out, later, if desired. Does it give an improvement? Or does it want you to subscribe to extras? 

It’ll give some additional info, to all questions asked on the Community, and perhaps peace for some.

This is exactly what's wrong with so many software, ISP, and online services these days. Abdication of responsibility. 

They take away our perfectly good McAfee package, and replace it with something else, but don't want to offer any help for any problems with it. BT say ask Norton, Norton says ask BT. And so on. 

They get away with this because some customers accept it.

Rubbish. They're a service provider, promoting this product to replace the previous one, and as part of their ISP service. There's something very wrong when not only do BT seem to think this is acceptable, but some customers do also.

Is that the Norton 360 - 30day Trial, or something from BT, without a Product Key ?

So, after log-on to MyBT, with 2FA; navigating through the links and downloading BT Virus Protect (Norton).
At what stage, is any Product Key, if required, issued; to give the product 'ACTIVE' status ?Quizzical 0.png
