BT Virus Protect versus McAfee? - same thing?

My Mcafee Live Safe licence on my PC is due for renewal in November but my BT package also allows me BT Virus Protect (which is powered by Mcafee) .

Are they they same thing?

Would i need to remove Mcafee to install BT Virus Protect.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

BT Virus Protect is just a rebadged McAfee product. As regards if it offers the same protection as what you already have you will need to compare the specifications to see what is offered.

If you want to use BT Virus Protect you will need to fully remove any McAfee antivirus product you have on your computer before installing the BT version.
