BT Virus protect - how do I check a false positive?
I am erinstalling software I've used before on a new PC. One program ran fine and installed ok on the last PC. Whenever I ran a virus check on that PC nothing was detected. When I try to reinstall, Virus Protect quarantines the file and tgells me the problem is RDN/GenericRP. If I put that into google I see lots of people are having that reported as a false positive.
If I was a McAfee customer I could upload it to them but with BT there is no such option. Online FAQs don't help and online chat never responds.
I want my program back - surely it can't have become a risk since I installed it last time?
