Regarding bt wi-fi, are the minutes/ hours monitored , what is to stop you giving your parrword out to friends and family accross the country so they can use a neighbours wi-fi and all have free internet !
And is there a way you personally can check if anyone is using your password??
They would then have access to your primary e-mail address, and be able to intercept any mail addressed to you from BT.
Also they would soon use up your allocated minutes, and you would lose access.
There is no way you can check if they are using it, apart from checking how many minutes you have left.
well just say have unlimited minutes and dont use the bt e-mail address. So thats those to problems out of the way, so I guess seems a way to get cheap internet access
Its not unlimited, you are allowed 10,000 minutes in any given month, about 166 hours which would accumulate very quickly with a lot of users.
Also, be aware that "Please note that some activities, such as using peer to peer or file sharing software, may contravene these laws. Under our terms and conditions, any illegal activity on the BT Wi-fi network will be a breach of your contract and will result in us ending your service."
If you start giving out your login to everybody, then there is a risk that someone might do something that BT disapproves of.
