BT Wi-Fi Hotspot

Go to solution

Can I see which websites people have accessed when they connect to my router via BT-Wifi or BTWifi-with-Fon? I live in a rural area so anyone using these services will be connected via my router.

No, it is a completely separate network.

@Gingerclaire No you can't do that, we protect the privacy of our BT Wifi and Fon customers when they are using this service.

BTWifi is not a universal signal that cover a large area even in rural areas. Only people who are within a few tens of meters to your property will be able to connect to the BTWifi signal that is being transmitted from your Homehub.

Depends what you mean by safe and people and whether you mean your own network or BTWIFI network.

In what way. Do you mean via BTWifi, which is a separate but safe way of sharing because it has no access to your private home network  or do you mean by letting them log onto your own private home wireless network. If it is the latter, it would depend on whether or not you trusted the person not to abuse it and do anything illegal on it or access files that are on your network.
