BT WiFi App Version 8.0.7 crashes on OnePlus Mobile Phones

Updated BT WiFi App (04/04/2023) crashes the app when attempting to connect to wifi Network on OnePlus devices.
OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 11. Latest Oxygen android installed.
BT WiFi App Version 8.0.7
No problem when attempting to connect using same version app on a Xiaomi mobile phone.
Networks may be accessed using a Google Broadband search and logging in with BT username and password.
But this app fault renders the automatic wifi connection unusable, since its 04/04/2023 update insofar as OnePlus phones are concerned.
What do you say, BT?

Have you tried clearing the app cache and restarting the phone

Thanks Les-Gibson.

Apologies, I omitted to inform that, yes, I tried clearing the app cache, prior to committing to the uninstall/re-install.

Re: BT WiFi App Version 8.0.7 crashes on OnePlus Mobile Phones

As a temporary measure, the latest 8.0.7 version of the BT WiFi app has been uninstalled and a previous version (bt-wi-fi-7-0-37.apk) installed which functions as it had prior to the BT WiFi app update.

Where can I download the bt-wi-fi-7-0-37.apk file from?  I've done a Google search but not  found it 🙂

I'm also seeing this error on my OnePlus and have been for some time. Do we have an ETA for the fix as I am on 8.0.11.  As soon as I press connect to WiFi the app crashed.

And yes I've cleared cache and restarted too
