BT WiFi Not Disabling?

I opted out of BT WiFi a couple of weeks ago and although I cannot now use BT WiFi hotspots and my account is opted out, my hub is still broadcasting the hotspots....

Why is this happening and what can I do about it?

Re: BT WiFi Not Disabling?

Others have found a factory reset of the hub turns off BTwifi. Worth a try.

Re: BT WiFi Not Disabling?

Ffs.... I'm not doing a factory reset, I've loads of settings that would need resetting... I'm never dealing with BT again... they suck big time!

Re: BT WiFi Not Disabling?

Hi @mlmclaren94,

When you opt out of BT Wifi it can take up to 28 days for the Hub to stop broadcasting the BT Wifi signal.

Thanks

Re: BT WiFi Not Disabling?

An alternative approach would be to opt back into BT WiFi (so as to be able to use hotspots when out and about, if you want to be able to do that) but to replace the Hub with a third party router which wouldn't broadcast a BT WiFi signal. Of course, you may not want to replace the Hub.
