BT parental controls - My own tplink TL-WPA4220 Access point - Android WIFI DNS issues

I have my a tp-link  TL-WPA4220 Access point that uses the same SSID/password etc etc (configures itself via WPS to have these) so that when I am nearer to it, the android phone picks up the stronger signal.

What I notice since turning BT Parental controls on, is that my android phone does not like getting a dhcp IP address via the access point and I can only surmise that is because it wants to use the Google DNS server IP addresses as the DNS servers.

Did not use to do this with old router.

Since BT Parental controls wnats me to use only the routers DNS server, how can this be fixed other than hard coding a static IP address and DNS server into my phone, or turning off parental controls?

Thank you.

Disable DHCP on the access point, and just let devices get configuration from the home hub. You onlly need one DHCP server.
