BT wi-fi with FON

Hello all,

I am looking for some advice:

I am trying to use BT wi-fi win FON away from home. I have a company laptop (thinkpad) this works fine. I have a samsung netbook, it connects to the wi-fi but when I select the internet it does not go to the welcome page. I have tried google chrome, firefox and explorer.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Re: BT wi-fi with FON

It actually does not bring the sign in page up? Laptop straight there, netbook will not go to the page?

Re: BT wi-fi with FON

Are you opening a browser as soon as you've connected? If so it might be worth waiting a while after connecting the netbook to see if a message pops up telling you to click the wireless icon. That can take a minute or so.

Re: BT wi-fi with FON

I don't hold out much hope, but once connected try entering https://www.btopenzone.com:8443/home or ditto/status in your browser. If that doesn't work and you get no other suggestions here, the BT Wi-Fi helpline 0800 022 33 22 might have some ideas.
